• Implementation of UK and EU transparency reforms and evolving role of consolidated tape infrastructure within fixed income markets. Both jurisdictions significantly increased volumes of real-time post-trade data entering the market. Discussion highlighted clear distinction between data availability and data usability.
• Market structure complexity may increase before it improves, with multiple operational and interpretative challenges including deferred trade reconstruction, duplicate reporting and fragmented reporting frameworks.
• More data does not automatically mean better market transparency; workflow enrichment, aggregation and analytics capability will be critical components of future market infrastructure.
